I came across your name at a sheet music website, I thought your piece, the sample that I heard, was wonderfull. I decieded to investigate further, and glad I did. Your music, while havng a little modern taste to it, also reminds me of the older Church songs that we have recently replaced. I am hopping some of your music will pop up. It would be very nice to hear your music in our Church. May God continue to Bless you.

I have seen you perform in conference situations. I spoke to you once about how beautiful and touching your sacred music is. In this day in time, it is so hard to find the sincere and touching music that you sing. It is a reverence that is about to become extinct in the church. I have just about all your CDs for that reason. Your singing, which is the Lord's gift to all of us, is so soul healing. My son is getting married soon, and we would love to have someone sing "Prayer for Home". Is there any way to get a copy of sheet music and lyrics? I have seen other requests on here, but have no clue how to obtain the music. Thanks so much for any help.

Hello Mr. Ortega! I just wanted to let you know how much your music has brought peace into our new home. My wife and I just got married June 13. We had "Grace and Peace" play during our communion. During our devotion time, we play "The Shadow of Your Wings" CD. We were going through a rough time this week.and after our devotion last night.the song "Power in the Blood" came on.what an assurance! Thank you for your beautiful music."Margee Ann" is one of my favorite songs.it reminds me of my beautiful aunt who passed away.that song describes her life.I could go on and on.just wanted to let you know that you have blessed our lives.

Several years ago I was at a Christian bookstore and I saw your "Home" album on the shelves. I think that the cd had just came out that week. At that time, I have never listened to your music before but there was something about the cover and the title that drew me to it. I sure was glad I bought the cd that evening because your music is awesome! That week I ran back to the store and bought all of your cds, even the ones in Spanish. Your love for Christ is evident in your music. Your lyrics are poetic and beautifully written. My favorite song of all time is Lord of Eternity which my husband and I used as the song during the lighting of our unity candle. Everytime I listen to that song, it reminds me of how fragile we are as humans and how GREAT our Lord is.

While listening to my Robin Mark station on Pandora Radio, I must tell you that each time a song of yours played, I stopped dead in my tracks and looked to see who was singing. I especially love "Sleepless Nights" I'm a pianist/missionary working in N.E.China 1/2 each year. Also, my wife and I sponsor a child through Compassion. If you ever want to come sing in our theater in Hunchun, China, you're welcome to come. We have a school for disabled children and I put them on horses for Hippotherapy. God Bless you!!

Hello Mr Ortega I just wanted to let you know how much I enjoy the music that the Lord has let you share. When you play the hand of the Lord comes upon me just as in 2Kings 3:15 But now bring me a minstrel. And it came to pass, when the minstrel played, that the hand of the LORD came upon him. I pray by the hand of the Lord and the water of life is directed to those I pray for (see the whole context of the chapter to see what I mean). My wife said that such a one that is used much by the Lord needs prayer to keep them from evil. By the Lord I will pray for you. Be encouraged you do minister to the body of the Lord Jesus. The Lord be magnified, Ron

Fernando!! We are rejoicing with you with the arrival of sweet Ruby!! You two must be overjoyed and overwhelmed at the same time! I'm the director of the Compassion Pregnancy Center & Clinic in Monterey, CA and we met many times over the years as you led worship for the conferences. We also chatted at Spirit West Coast one year. My husband is the Fire Marshal for that event. I have a question; you often sang a song that I just loved and I don't know the name. The lyrics were "I am the Good Shepherd, I lay down my life for you. I know you I know you I know you." Did you ever record it?

Hello! Your music has always been a tremendous blessing. I first heard you in San Diego many years ago. Is it possible to buy the sheet music for your arrangement of "Come, Thou Fount of Every Blessing"? There is a tenor and cellist who would like to present this in our church. Thank you, and congratulations on your beautiful baby girl.

Fernando and team, I first found your music on the Emily's Eyes album. There were times that I listened to many of those tracks over and over; it was the only place I found peace at a very dark time in my life. Your song, Beyond the Sky pointed me to the Light of Christ that is my only hope. Now, years later, at another dark blip, I am soothed by your music in Home. I saw you once in Bellingham, WA, with Twila Paris, perhaps a decade ago. That may be where I found this CD. I enjoyed your sense of humor; remember that big thing hanging from the ceiling? I give the glory to God, but I want you to know that the gifts he has given you are making a difference, at least I can speak for my life. You have an ability to communicate deep truths and touch deep pains with a gentleness that allows a hurting abused soul like mine to soften and open up, and call on Jesus. Thank you for seeking him and sharing him. I am going to places in my pain I never knew were there. But I know I need to go there to find lasting healing; at least that is my hope. Your music brings vibrant hope. Thank you brother.

Thank you for blessing me with your soothing music. I remember sitting in my car, and listening to Sing to Jesus, like 40 times in one sitting. It is such a beautiful melody. I can't tell you how calm it makes me. Almost like Jesus wrapping me up and holding me close. I would love to sing the song in church and share it with my congregation, but I also want to use a quartet as well. The problem is, I am having trouble finding the quartet music. I was wondering if you could help me. Thank you again for all the wonderful music. I can't wait to hear from you!

Greetings from Upland,Indiana(Taylor Univ.)When my husband and I were given the gift of tickets to your Oct.08 concert,I fell in love with your music. It has enhanced my worship, and has even helped me teach Spanish a time or two with my very favorite song:"Con Que Pagaremos."I felt the Lord nudging me to pray regularly for you and Margee(and now Ruby!)especially as you tour.I consider it a privilege.Next week I will return to Budapest,Hungary, where we were involved in an English and discipleship ministry.I am taking along your music as gifts and to share as part of a message at a reunion/retreat.Blessings to you and your gals!

Hi Fernando, I have been studying piano for almost a year. My inspiration and drive that led me to the piano was you. I have played guitar for a very long time, but I wanted to be able to play some of my favorite songs that truely speak to my soul. Your tunes, 'Light of Heaven', 'Take Heart my Friend', 'If I flee on Morning Wings', and 'Mildred Madalyn Johnson' are just a few of those songs that I aspired to learn. Unfortunately, I can't find the piano sheet music anywhere. Is there some way I can get the music for these tunes? Thanks for blessing me so much with your amazing music and God's grace. Be well.

Hello Fernando- I was sitting in my car, waiting for my son to get out of piano practice one evening a while back. I had the radio on and you were doing an interview and during part of it you were discussing song writing. You mentioned some writings of a particular person that you were very passionate about, that had a big influence in your personal thoughts about life which in turn inspired your writings. This interview was a while back and I have tried to find an archive of it since. Could you tell me who this person was?

Fernando Responds   Pretty sure I was talking about Flannery O'Connor. She was a Catholic fiction writer from Georgia who died in 1964. Mystery and Manners is a collection of her essays and lectures which I have found inspiring. The Habit of Being is a collection of her letters and it's also a fantastic read. I would start with her short stories - The Complete Stories of Flannery O'Connor.
